About the new Greeting
Cards idea:
Ever since we moved into our new building (August
2005) we have been asked if we carried greeting cards.... perhaps
this was because we already offered note cards, postcards and
prints... or perhaps this was because our building had once housed
a Hallmark store... or maybe we just looked like the kind of
place that would have them. Regardless of the reason for such
repeated enquiries, we have been pondering this, and Jon (one
of staff members) kept prodding us to offer more retail items...
but we never got around to it, until now.
January of 2008 the Northern Light Christian Bookstore
closed their doors -- but they wanted a way for their customers
to continue to get the wonderful greeting cards made by DaySpring.
After Jon talked with them, and then myself and Tom talked with
them -- we decided to give it a go!
We have been hustling to get set up for
VALENTINE'S DAY
(children's boxed sets as well
as individual cards for grown-ups)
as well as restocking the everyday greeting cards...
Plus
I am in contact with other providers, to have a variety
besides what DaySpring offers, not the least of these are the
folks behind Gwen Frostic's lovely woodland block printing.
Please stop by sometime for a visit, and peruse our
selection -- suggestions are welcome, per our line, and our hour's.
