the commercial rental that will be available end of
June 2009 is located at 220 Shelden (currently Leland's Salon
and Spa), it has just over 2,200 square feet of retail and/or
office space in a newly renovated historical building
all new electrical (including fixtures), all new plumbing,
refinished hardwood floors, high ceilings, handicapped accessibility
(Shelden entrance), ADA public bathroom down the hall in our
common's area (by the back entrance), private bathroom in the
store -- nice display windows looking out over Shelden (which
is a high pedestrian area, friendly and active downtown - including
evening time)
highly visible location, en route between gift stores
and fine eateries - directly across from the Travel Lodge
plenty of free 2-hour parking out back, with ADA approved
stairs from upper deck through our back entrance, plus the City
is to give us at least one handicapped parking spot out front
when the city-scape roadwork is all done!
the entire building is a smoke-free zone, and has
been since January 2005

it is normally much subtler lighting, very cozy -
neat idea (I needed flash so you could see how much space there
actually is in there)

they've arranged things
as is the rinse sink and manicure table
behind those tan/beige curtains is a short hall that
leads to the private bathroom - which is large enough that they've
housed their washer and dryer back there too!
in one of the corners up front is a privacy screen
(good place to hide when on your lunch break!)
in the other corner is their cash register / computer,
office nook

length of lease is negotiable, prefer long-term renter,
will consider short-term
sub-letting/sharing the space is possible with some
parameters
utilities are not included in the rent, that way you
can keep it as warm or cool as you like (there is a small AC
unit above front door, and renter could always add larger unit
off back if desired, at their own expense), heat is forced air
- natural gas, 10 year old furnace was upgraded in 2005
