After being asked by various clients over the years to design their web sites, I finally got my hands on Dreamweaver to step up my skills. I've used PageMill for many years but needed to get past it's limitations (not to mention being current with protocols out there!) so even tho I'm dealing with a huge learning curve, it's not all greek to me (and I resisted the urge to cheat and work in Code! stayed in the Design mode the entire time!). On 3-20-10 I launched my very first client site created completely from scratch (no templates) with Dreamweaver... it's very basic (baby steps!) but hopefully it's interesting enough for the viewer and does what it needs to do for the client. My next step is to convert the site art into brochure and postcard layouts (so they can have matching sets!). I plan to offer package deals of web and print items so clients can promote themselves in both worlds with a cohesive look. I am definitely open to any constructive-critiques anyone has to share, especially if something is found to be behaving poorly with any site I work on!
