REMINDER: we do have a complete and experienced
Art Department in-house with several graphic artists on-staff -- we can create the necessary files for you if you aren't sure how to, or don't want to, do this yourself.

Please contact us  if you have any questions!

Much to-do about PDF files . . .

Adobe Acrobat PDF files are (in theory) a simple way to share files from one computer to another without each other running the same programs.

They do come in handy, but honestly, I call PDF a "Possessed Document File" for a reason (versus the proper name of Portable...).  Word files tend to be a bit unstable, and a PDF from one isn't usually much of an improvement (much has to do with how you linked/embedded images).  InDesign files, if created with transparent layers, can really come out messed up in a PDF -- and Tiffs don't always translate well either.

Even tho they can have their issues, we do prefer clients send us PDF's, even if they are also sending us their native/working files.  However, please be aware, because we could experience issues with your PDF, we may need to ask you to change something on your end and resave the PDF, or we might need to do repairs on our side (for a fee).

The best way to save a PDF is to drop it down to version 4 -- this will remove the group-editing features that can sometimes corrupt a file. Please make sure the PDF is not locked and does not require a password.

MUCH more info to come on this later, but in the meantime, here are some links if you don't have a Save As PDF, or Export to PDF, option in your program, or don't have a copy of Distiller running on your computer (to "print" a file to, creating a PDF) and have need to make such said file format:  www.freepdfconvert.com  or  www.acrobat.com  -- we haven't used these ourselves, so please let us know what your experience was (ie: if these are good links to share with everyone).
