I have personally been repairing damage to photos since the 70’s when (under my father’s guidance) I used paint, ink, paper fibers, glues, all sorts of “scary” methods - whatever means were necessary to repair old photos, sometimes even employing various camera and darkroom tricks. Love Old Photos - Love PhotoShop! Thankfully computers came along and I can now relax while restoring old photos as I am no longer directly tampering with the only copy of said image. Since the early 1990’s I have been a daily user of Adobe PhotoShop and my favorite thing to do is fix old photos! In addition to experience with hands-on and computer aided repairs, I am also a photographer and an illustrator and artist -- giving me the critical eye and insight needed to paint and camouflage repairs that are not always easy to do. |
