This grouping of pages are dedicated to helping you become Savvy in submitting print production files and to help you learn what mean when we ask if you are sending us Print-Ready files

NOTICE: We are in the business of selling our time (service) as well as the end product (the posters, booklets, banners, etc). You can help us keep our fees to a minimum by reviewing this information now and discussing your project with us BEFORE you start*see bottom of page

PRINT-READY means we need "bleed allowance" if your art is to run off the edge of the sheet, it means we need "crop-marks" if we are to trim the prints down from a standard sheet size, and it means providing business card layouts "8-out" to our specs... click on the following for details:
COLOR FORMATS ~ if we are printing in-house RGB is fine and will actually give more vibrant colors (it will also be a smaller file size then CMYK). If we are going to be outsourcing your file for specialty printing or very large volume runs then CMYK must be used. If you are trying to match a specific color then we will need to all be using a Pantone number (best when selected from our chart, that we will be referencing, and not referencing a number on your computer screen only) ~ click on the following for details:
GETTING FILES TO US ~ if one small file, you can email it, if many or a large file we highly recommend using the free services of www.wetransfer.com click on the following for details:

*Sometimes in can actually be CHEAPER to let our staff do the layout from scratch -- then to pay for us to work with a technically incorrect set-up. You can still do a mock-up to show us the design ideas you have -- but please considering hiring our professionals to execute it (we know the parameters of our equipment, as well as how to set-up the most efficient way to produce your order) An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. ~Benjamin Franklin (does not surprise me that he ran a print shop) |
